Global benchmarks.Single-name precision.

Indices are how the market thinks out loud — one number carrying the mood of five hundred companies. Trade the aggregate as a CFD, or drop down to single-name equities and ETFs when your thesis is about one balance sheet rather than the whole economy.

Why Index CFDs

The macro view,without the friction.

Owning 'the market' the traditional way means futures rolls, ETF management fees, or a brokerage account per exchange. An index CFD collapses all of that into one line on one platform: continuous pricing through the underlying's session, margin instead of full notional, and a short side that costs exactly as much effort as the long.

Every index position at IEXS clears through the same NY3/LD4 infrastructure as our FX book — equities pricing with FX-grade execution.

Mechanics That Matter

Four things equity CFDtraders should know.

01

No Dividend Costs

Stock CFDs do not involve actual share ownership, so you do not incur the dividend costs associated with traditional stock ownership, making trading costs more transparent.

02

Session Gaps

Unlike FX, equity indices sleep. Overnight news reprices the open, and stops resting inside a gap fill at the first available price — not the price you wrote. If you hold indices overnight, that is a position decision, not an accident.

03

Index vs Single Name

Indices diversify away company risk and trade tighter; single names carry earnings surprises, halts and headline risk — priced accordingly. Macro theses belong in the index; company theses in the stock.

04

Corporate Actions

Splits, rights issues and spin-offs are mirrored onto CFD positions so your economic exposure is preserved through the event. Details per event are published in the platform.

Execution

Equity exposure oninstitutional rails.

The same aggregation, routing and co-located matching that fills our FX book executes your index and equity orders. One margin pool funds every position, so a gold hedge, an index short and a single-name long coexist in one risk view.

FAQ

Indices & shares,asked and answered.

Do I own the underlying shares?

No. A CFD is a derivative on the price — you carry the economic exposure without ownership, voting rights or custody. That is what enables margin trading and symmetric shorting.

When can I trade index CFDs?

Each index follows its underlying market's hours, with some contracts quoting extended sessions. Exact hours per contract are published inside MT4/MT5.

What leverage applies to indices and shares?

Lower than FX, reflecting overnight gap risk — equity instruments reprice while closed. Contract-level margin requirements are shown in the platform before you trade.

How are US earnings releases handled?

Single names can gap violently on earnings; margin on affected names may rise into the event and spreads widen. If you trade earnings deliberately, size for the gap, not the chart.
